Our founder Du Yufeng was busy feeding the dogs at the shelter when she received a call from a concerned member of the public, telling her that there was an Alaskan Malamute lying under a wooden bridge at the side of the Jialing River. Du and our volunteer rushed to the scene and found the dog. He was unable to stand up on his own so our volunteer carried him and lifted him on to the pavement. We took him directly to the vet. Doctor Li immediately performed blood tests.
Du gave this beautiful boy the name阿拉斯加 Alaska.
The test results showed that Alaska has severe anaemia and Babesia (a blood-borne parasite). He is very sick. Du made batches of chicken and rice soup with added supplements for him and he finally began to eat. His gums and tongue are still pale and his urine is very dark but we will continue to work hard to do everything we can to make him well again. Your donations fund treatments like Alaska’s.
Thanks for your continued support for our animals in China.

Alaska is getting stronger.
He still has a long way to go but we are encouraged by his strength and will to live.
Thank you to everyone for your support. Life is beautiful.
