On our trip to Chengdu to have our dogs Bai Lang and Fang Fang vaccinated, required for their trips to Canada and America to their new homes, we took the opportunity to have the vets at Huai Ren pet hospital look at this black girl's breast tumour.
Rescued from the streets with this big tumour, the vets gave her a light sedative and then performed an ultrasound to see if the tumour was operable. They advised that it be removed so she was immediately given a general anaesthetic and the operation was a success.
She awoke from the anaesthetic and was given reassuring cuddles from our volunteer Yang Dong.
We'd like to thank the vets and nurses at the hospital because they worked late in to the night.
