Xiao Bai 小白 (meaning Little White) was rescued after she was found living on the streets. She was suffering from a very swollen and bleeding vagina but our vet clinics in Guangyuan do not have advanced facilities to treat her so our founder, Du Yufeng, took her to Dr Zhong’s clinic in Chengdu to seek his expertise and treatment. Test results confirmed that Xiao Bai has CTVT (Canine Transmissable Veneral Tumour), a sexually transmitted cancerous tumour which leaves many small tumours along the vaginal wall. Xiao Bai’s condition was advanced, with the tumours bleeding. Dr. Zhong suggested chemotherapy to help shrink the tumours.
Because Xiao Bai needs 6 sessions of chemo, Du had no choice but to leave her behind in Chengdu with one of her Buddhist friends so that the stress of keep travelling back and forth to Chengdu did not make Xiao Bai feel worse. Du bought enough food and necessities for her to last throughout her stay.
Xiao Bai still needs some chemo sessions and you can help by donating via the donate button below.

Xiao Bai is now she is back home with us at Bo Ai. The tumour has shrunk significantly and is now not visible. Our volunteer Yang Dong told Xiao Bai that he was going to give her a bath because she smelt of burning from the radiation treatment. She let him wash and then dry her and now we are taking each day as it comes. We have to monitor her and the area where the tumour was but we are hoping that it will not come back. We would like to say thank you to all our supporters who donated and/ or shared our original post, appealing for donations so that Xiao Bai's treatment could continue.
Your donations enable our rescued animals to have whatever treatment is needed for their rehabilitation.
