Bo Ai Animal Protection Centre Of Guangyuan
Today we received a call to rescue a dog that was tied up under a bridge. When our founder Du Yufeng arrived at the scene she found a very thin German Shepherd. He looked like he hadn't had a meal in weeks and the skin on his back was thick and scabby with no fur. Du and our volunteer took him back to her house and although the dog was interested and eager to get up the steps into Du's apartment block, his body wouldn't let him. He was just too weak.
He weighs much less than 25kgs but medicine was given to clear his skin up and he was given a bland meal of boiled chicken and rice. This poor furchild was most likely kept on a site as a guard because he did not know what a sleeping mat, given to him, was for! Instead he preferred to sleep on the floor.
This is the 3rd starving German Shepherd that we have rescued in the last few months. It is heartbreaking to know that heartless people have just left them to die. Your donations mean that we can treat this boy, and others we rescue, with the relevant medicines. Thank you for your support.
The German Shepherd is recovering very well. He is putting on weight, his skin is getting better and his 'cow hocks' are not as bad as they were. As he gets stronger and gains more muscle we hope that the hocks will correct themselves even more but we are very pleased with how well he is doing. He is also enjoying being and learning to play with the other dogs.
Your donations help us to help animals in need.
