Our founder Du Yufeng received a distressing call from a resident of Wenzhou Mall in our city of Guangyuan saying that a small dog had been thrown from a 7th floor apartment. The caller told Du that the dog yelped and blood came out it's eyes, mouth and nose but then there was no movement.
Du immediately rushed to the scene but unfortunately she was too late. The dog had already died.
Du talked to concerned neighbours who all condemned the barbaric behaviour of the tenant from the 7th floor, saying that "If she did this to her dog, tomorrow she could kill anyone!"
Du went up to the woman's apartment and knocked on the door, ready to speak to her about her actions but she refused to see Du.
Du left a long letter taped to the wall next to her apartment, berating her for the cruelty and telling her "Love and compassion for animals is love to oneself".
Du then went to the Police Station and reported the incident, hoping that the relevant departments take strict action on this sociopath.
The little dog was taken back to the shelter with Du where she buried it, performing traditional Buddhist rites at the funeral.
