Our founder, Du Yufeng, received a call to rescue this little dog. The dog had a serious vaginal prolapse.
The dog's elderly owner died, leaving the daughter in law to hate the dog and dump her in the forest. The dog found her way back home but the daughter in law refused to have her in the house. The dog's only chance of survival was to beg and scavenge for food.
Du made a makeshift leash and took the dog to our local veterinary hospital. Unfortunately the vet, doctor Li, does not have the facilities to perform such a delicate operation so animal lover, Mr Yu, offered to drive Du and the dog to Chengdu.
Once at the veterinary hospital in Chengdu, the nurses began preparing the dog for surgery.
Despite the best efforts of the doctors, the little dog never woke up from the anesthetic.
Du took the dog home to Guangyuan and gave her a traditional Buddhist funeral.
Maybe in her dreams she will be reunited with her elderly owner. The only person who loved her.
In her dreams their love will live forever.
