Bo Ai Animal Protection Centre Of Guangyuan
On World Animal Day, we share the story of this little Tibetan Spaniel who was found behind a garage, suffering with a very large vaginal tumour. This type of cancer is transmitted from mating and is usually seen in stray, unsterilised dogs.
Our founder Du Yufeng and one of our volunteers drove to collect her then took her to Doctor Li's pet hospital.
She was very underweight and blood tests found she was low on albumin. Surgery was ruled out until she was stronger. Regular infusions of albumin and protein rich food helped her get a little stronger to enable chemotherapy sessions.
As you can imagine, this is costly treatment so if you can donate even the cost of a coffee, it will all go towards her treatment.
'Bao Ya Hu' as she is now called, because of her underbite, has good and bad days, the chemotherapy interrupts her appetite but Du is helping her. She is now safe and warm.
Your donations help us to help animals in need.
