Bo Ai Animal Protection Centre Of Guangyuan
We not only have to fight the dog meat trade, we also educate to raise animal welfare awareness to children and adults about responsible dog ownership.
This is a common sight across China - with the recent economy improvement, many Chinese people have extra disposable incomes to buy pets but unfortunately, through lack of education, they don't have a sense of responsibility.
A woman gave us this Golden Retriever puppy saying she had developed an allergy to the pup’s fur and she could no longer keep him. She told our founder Du Yufeng that there was nothing wrong with the pup.
Du took the pup in but he was drooling, vomiting and had bloody diarrhoea. Du gave the pup a test and confirmed he had Canine Parvovirus. Du spent many sleepless nights administering antibiotics through an IV drip and giving him medication to control his nausea and vomiting.
Unfortunately Chong Er 宠儿 (meaning darling) passed away on the 16 January aged approx. 7 weeks old.
Chong Er’s owner spent thousands of Yuan to buy him but said she had no time to vaccinate him. His young life ended through lack of education.
You can help us to help the animals in the pet trade in China by staging more education events to teach owners how to look after their companions by donating.
Thank you for your support.
Your donations help us to help animals in need.
