Thanks to volunteers working together in a Wechat group, we were able to save 6 dogs from heading to an illegal slaughterhouse early yesterday morning (6th November). Volunteers called the police and Chengguan (Urban Management Bureau) after they intercepted a truck on the highway containing the 6 dogs. Our founder Du Yufeng was also on the scene. The owner of the truck tried to tell the volunteers and police that the dogs were his own pets and he was moving house but everyone knew he was lying and eventually the police confiscated the dogs and handed them over to Du and our shelter. We'd like to thank the volunteers, some who went with their own pet dogs, who stayed to reassure the dogs in the truck and thanks to the Guangyuan City Lizhou District Panlong Police Station who arrived at the scene soon after the first phone call was made. Now we need your help and appeal for your donations to help rehabilitate these dogs. There were clear signs of violence on the dogs. There were marks on them consistent with beating/whipping and they had blood from their wounds. The mental scars will take a lot longer to heal.... Please help us to help them by donating here. Thank you 🙏🐶
