Education Event, Cangxi Pear Festival

Our founder Du Yufeng took full advantage of the Cangxi Pear Festival by holding an education event there. The breathtaking scenery of the white pear tree flowers attracts tourists from around China, who are also treated to various pear dishes.
Du set up boards with posters on them showing why animal welfare is so important. She also gave out leaflets, stickers and calendars; all the while explaining that animals have feelings too and why companion animals should not be eaten.
The event was a success with large crowds gathering to hear Du and some of our volunteers talk about animal welfare and rights. Old and young were interested and eager to learn.
