Ahead of the Winter Solstice, our founder Du Yufeng launched a vigorous "anti-animal cruelty, refuse to eat cat & dog meat" education event.
The event was staged at a local farmers market where Du set up a stall from which she and some of our volunteers taught people about the topic. Reading materials were given out and a sense of fun was in the air to engage with the shoppers. The event also had a serious side to it – to help to popularize dogs as companions, not to eat dog meat and to prevent their abuse ahead of the Winter Solstice. Du hopes that people will respect the security that dogs give them and hopes that village leaders also understand that dogs are indispensable for not only security for every single family or a companion for a lonely old person but that they are living beings with feelings. Education events like this one continue because of your donation. Thank you for your support.

We believe the only way to stop the dog and cat meat trade is through education.
