9. Another Expansion

Many more dogs have been rescued since our shelter was completed. We now have approximately 1600 dogs so an expansion was needed and to help with this massive expense we received a welcome grant from our partner
SPCA International. The work would have been a lot quicker had we been able to afford the construction vehicles and staff but with the help of our own workers and some local builders and friends the work began.
Then came weeks of torrential rain and flooding which was a huge setback but eventually the expansion was complete. To say thank you to SPCA International and their donors for their help and support throughout the years and with this project, we have dedicated a kennel block to them.

The plaque below was designed by Du to be placed on the entrance gate to the dedicated kennel block.
