Yulin 2022 and 2023

Again, like in 2021, Du and other shelters like her didn't go to Yulin to buy dogs. Instead, Du stayed in Guangyuan, looking for traffickers taking dogs through Sichuan on their way to Yulin in Guangxi.

For nearly 9 weeks, Du helped volunteers rescue dogs from an illegal slaughterhouse in Guang'an in our native Sichuan amid tears, cruelty and corruption. This rescue took it's toll on everyone involved and not every dog could be rescued. Read all about it here.

Volunteers in Dazhou, Sichuan, contacted Du about a farm they had found where dogs were being kept for the Dog Meat Trade.
