Potty Training

Ami has been very very good not messing in the house. Keari has been taking her out after she has eaten and had a drink which is the way to potty train a dog. Keari has bought a Pee Post to place in the garden. It uses pheromones to encourage Ami to do her business next to that and reinforce that outside is meant for peeing and pooping. 

Ami's favourite place in her new house is right by the window. Her bed is under the window and she loves to look out at the birds and squirrels. Keari tells us that she likes to chase the squirrels and cannot get enough of the outdoors. When she returns home from walkies, she can sleep and dream about all the new things she's done. This is one of the things that we all like to hear about because at the shelter there are no regular walkies; there are just too many dogs so the only time the dogs get to go for a walk is usually when volunteers come to the shelter.
