Now that Ma Dan has a new home to look forward to, preparations are under way to help him get there. He has been measured and weighed ready for his flight crate.    Ma Dan has had his microchip inserted and his rabies vaccination. He must wait 30 days after the rabies vaccine before he can have his blood taken for the titre test. The blood serum will be sent to a laboratory to test the level of antibodies in Ma Dan's blood. This is required by EU law.

Ma Dan has found his forever home! A lovely lady called Brinte and her family are excited to welcome him in to their lives. He will have 3 canine siblings to play with too! A German Shepherd called Wolfi who is training to be an assistance dog and 2 Pomeranians called Youka and Mochi. He will have lots of company and playmates! We are all happy for him. Ma Dan's smile mirrors our own!  Ma Dan has turned in to a very handsome young man. He is always happy and wants to play and given how he started his life it is a wonder he trusts humans at all. We saved Ma Dan from a slaughterhouse when he was just a puppy! He and the dogs with him had to watch others tortured and then killed in front of them. Hearing their screams of pain and seeing them dragged from the cages in front of them must have been terrifying but Ma Dan has forgiven humans and his happy to meet anyone. Ma Dan was given his name by our founder, Du Yufeng. Ma Dan 妈蛋 means 'mother's egg'. Du calls him her little egg because he was only a baby when he was rescued from the slaughterhouse.   |
