After being fostered and socialized at our volunteer's home, Li Ming was brought back to Du's house so that she could socialize more with the many visitors, volunteers and delivery drivers around her. This also gave her another opportunity to be around more dogs and this was essential because Callum (her adopter)had shown an interest in her and we wanted her to be 100% before she went to her new home in the UK. In the following weeks she grew used to being around the strangers that visited and she began to enjoy herself and the many petting and playing sessions she was involved in. Now it was time for her to go out on walks with the student volunteers who come to the shelter every week (below). Li Ming really enjoyed herself on the first walk and she was first at the door the next time the students came. Now, she knows them very well and looks forward to the walks. She was finally ready to start the adoption process!
