After Christmas, Li Ming and Callum celebrated a New Year together. The following months were filled with lots of enjoyment for Li Ming, going out for nice long walks and having lazy days at home. The shelter is far behind her.

With Li Ming coming from our area of Sichuan, in the south of China, she had never seen snow before. So when it snowed in England, she took to it with great enjoyment, running, playing and going for walks in it. Li Ming has enjoyed her first Christmas in the United Kingdom with daddy Callum and her human and furry family. She has come such a long way. We are absolutely thrilled she has a permanent forever home now. Callum takes Li Ming to his mother's every day for a couple of hours while he works. Li Ming loves nothing better than to play with her canine and feline brothers and sisters there. In the video below, Li Ming is playing chase with red Shiba Inu, Simba and black and white Terrier, Raffy. Li Ming also gets along well with the 3 cats in the household. Here she is with Jack the cat. After lots of playing, all the dogs (Li Ming and Kodi included) usually retire to one of the spare bedrooms at Callum's mother's house. On the bed is Li Ming with Kodi and Lady. Simba is on the floor. Li Min is really comfortable in this house, she takes herself upstairs when she wants to relax. Li Ming loves going for walks with her brother Kodi and Callum's mum's dogs. Li Ming stays on the lead when they go for walks in the fields because she wants to chase rabbits but she walks well with the other dogs and enjoys seeing all the new places around where she lives. Li Ming is loving her new life in the UK and enjoys going for walks with Kodi and Callum's mum's dogs. Callum is keeping her on the lead at the moment since she wants to chase rabbits when she sees them so her and Kodi walk on their leads together while watching the local wildlife from a distance. Li Ming's confidence is growing and she is getting used to her new routine. She's also doing well with the potty training which is great! Her foot is also getting better. Her new life has only just begun! Later in the evening, once Callum had taken Li Ming home, she was given time to relax in the garden and get to know the surroundings and smells. Then she was introduced to her beautiful fur brother, Husky Kodi. Callum and his sister took them both for a walk which went well. Li Ming is used to being around other dogs and had a special friend at the shelter, Golden retriever Scout. Li Ming always sought Scout out to play with and he loved her in return so for her to now have a surrogate fur brother means that she will be able to settle in that bit better and not be alone. Li Ming's first day in England, although tiring and probably overwhelming has been a good one.
Li Ming is in England and with her new daddy Callum! He has waited a long time to meet her and we are delighted that they are finally together. Callum is an active campaigner against the Dog & Cat Meat Trade and Yulin Dog Meat Festival and supports activists like us in China as we fight this horror every day. Li Ming had found a passionate daddy who will fight for the fur children in her native country until the trade is ended. Thank you Callum for adopting Li Ming and for your activism! |
