Slaughter Survivors: Kennel Project Fundraiser

The 235 dogs rescued from slaughter a couple of months ago are still sleeping in overcrowded quarantine kennels at our shelter.

These kennels aren't meant to hold this number of dogs. There are only so many who can sleep inside out of the rain and damp weather. The rest have to sleep outside.

Fights and quarrels are breaking out several times a day with dogs who are vying for the best kennel space and food. We urgently need to build new kennels to house most of these dogs plus any other survivors we come across in the coming months. We are in a desperate situation. 
A previous ask for donations specifically to build kennels for these survivors only resulted in a couple of hundred dollars being donated from kind supporters but we need thousands to pay contractors before they will even begin the kennels. Asking for money is hard because we know that not everyone can help in this way but the dogs are in a possible do or die situation. 
While the dogs are in the quarantine kennels they are at least safe from being killed and eaten but Autumn and Winter will soon be here and then the dogs that are forced to live outside will be permanently wet and cold. We need the kennels built before that happens.
Some have said that we should have had the space to place these dogs before we rescued them. That is easier said than done. When you are faced with hundreds of poor souls whose only chance of survival and safety is with you then  how we could we say no to them?
