In June 2011, the Asia For Animals conference came to mainland China for the first time. Our founder Du Yufeng represented Bo Ai Animal Protection Centre Of Guangyuan and she, among others, spoke about the need for an Animal Protection Law to be enforced in China.
Animals Asia (the hosts of the conference) founder, Jill Robinson, in her opening remarks, said, "The fundamental right of all creatures is to live and die in peace." She reminded us that "the work we all do is emotionally draining at times, so it"s important to smile. It"s up to us to give animals the best and loudest voices we can." Several international animal groups sponsored the 2011 AFA Conference. The significance of holding the AfA Conference on mainland China for the first time was a common theme in opening remarks. 380 delegates attended the conference from 25 countries.
