Hong Dou was approximately 4 months old when we rescued him from Yulin Dog Meat Festival in 2015. He is a Chocolate Miniature Poodle and this breed is extremely common to see in cages being sold for their meat.
Hong Dou is a typical poodle. He is a big dog in a small body, believing that he is the boss but he gets along well with the other dogs but cannot be rehomed with cats due to the breed's prey instinct.
4 months old is a baby. A baby being sold for meat in the most horrific way. he was terrified when we rescued him, having seen and heard things around him that hopefully now he has forgotten about as he has grown older. He deserves a second chance at a life where he can run around the park, in the woods or on the beach with his new owner/s. Poodles are also beneficial for people with allergies because their fur is hypoallergenic so could Hong Dou be your new companion?
