Beagle Puppy Thrown Off Bridge

8/11/2018

Our founder received a message from a concerned animal lover telling her that they had seen a post on Wechat about a Beagle puppy whose owner had thrown the puppy from the road part of Jialing River Bridge down on to the footpath part below.
The animal lover did not know when the owner had done that but he had gone to find the puppy to give her food and water. When he found the pup he messaged Du straight away.
By the time Du arrived at the scene the puppy was in a bad way, severely dehydrated and freezing to touch and not really interested in her surroundings. Du rushed the pup to the pet hospital but by the time they arrived there, the puppy was barely alive. Unfortunately she died shortly after. Doctor Li tested her for Canine Parvovirus and she tested positive.
We don't know if the owner knew this and decided to try and kill the puppy rather than take her to a vet but there is no excuse for this. Vaccination and education are needed so much in China. It's such a shame that this puppy died through ignorance and cruelty.

This little girl's life was worth so much more than the suffering she endured. Du gave her a traditional Buddhist burial.

World Animal Day 2018

5/10/2018

Every year on 4th October is World Animal Day.
This year, our founder, Du Yufeng, joined her daughter and grandson in Xi'an. Du's daughter has followed in her mother's footsteps, rescuing animals. Her 3 dogs; 2 Labradors and a Pomeranian have been rescued from the pound and from the streets. They were all treated to a day out to celebrate the love that animals can give back to us on the day that they are celebrated.
This resort is a place where dogs can play and swim. Owners can stay with the dogs or they can leave them to enjoy the facilities similar to doggy day care. The resort also boards dogs when their owners go on holiday.
We hope you all celebrate World Animal Day and every day by doing lovely things with your furry children and showing them just how lucky and precious they are.

Dog Given Buddhist Burial At Side Of Road

26/9/2018

Our founder, Du Yufeng, received an emergency message, telling her that there was a dog who had been hit by a car near the bus stop.
Du was at the hospital for treatment so she sent a message on social media asking for kind people in the area to take the dog to the pet hospital and the cost of any treatment would be put on to our account there.
She received another message later from someone telling her that the dog had died and they had moved the dog to the side of the road.
Du was extremely sad because if the dog had been taken to the pet hospital earlier, maybe she would have lived?
This poor dog had a hard life. Most of her fur had fallen out, her skin was crusty with mange. She had been living on the streets for a long time with no one to care about her wellbeing.
All Du could do was to help her reach the Western Paradise as soon as possible. Du chanted prayers and then afterwards the dog was buried.
Many dogs live on the streets. Thrown out like trash for one reason or another. Lots are rescued, treated for diseases and infections and given a safe place in our shelter.
You make that possible! YOU help to feed those lucky ones, you help to treat their wounds and vaccinate them. You help them to have faith again in human beings.
Thank you for your continued support.

Samoyed With Skin Disease Rescued

12/9/2018

This poor Samoyed was found by our founder, Du Yufeng and one of our volunteers, Yang Dong, as they were on the road to the shelter to give some of the dogs a second shot of vaccine. Yang Dong went on to the shelter to ask the workers to bring scissors to cut the cable, tied tightly around the Samoyed's neck. As she had pulled to try and get away, the cable had dug tightly in to her neck.
The Samoyed had patches of her fur hanging off because of a skin disease. She was very smelly but Yang Dong was not afraid to get dirty. Instead, he immediately started clipping her remaining fur off before washing her several times outside the shelter with a few barrels of hot water and medicated soap brought out by the workers.
Even after several changes of water the smell was still bad.
Du thinks the dog has been a mother at some point which means the owners likely dumped her and kept the puppies to sell for profit.  At least now she will get the treatment she desperately needs.
You can help her by donating. Thank you for your continued support.

These kittens were abandoned in the apartment block owned and lived in by our founder, Du Yufeng. Old, sick and disabled dogs and all the cats are housed in this block and local people know that if they abandon animals here they will be cared for. While we know that this is better than the kittens being left in the streets, killed or sold to the butcher, abandonments put a strain on resources. The kittens seem healthy enough and will be available for adoption overseas in a few months.
Unfortunately, cats are not as popular as dogs in adoption queries. We also have cats rescued from Yulin last year who are still waiting to find their forever homes. If you can give one of our cats a forever home in America or Canada please complete our application form.
Alternatively if you know a cat rescue in your country who could help, please contact us with their details.

To help look after these kittens, until they are adopted, you can donate towards their vaccinations, deflea and deworming preparations and eventually their neutering.

Thank you for your support 🐱

Puppies Full Of Fleas

8/9/2018

Our founder, Du Yufeng received a call telling her that some puppies in a cardboard box were near the pet market in Upper River Street.
When Du asked the stall holders if they knew what the puppies were doing there, one of them said they had been there since yesterday! When there had been a rain storm! If the puppies hadn't cried for help, the caller wouldn't have heard them.
The puppies were riddled with fleas. Puppies this young can easily die because of fleas so Du immediately got to work to kill as many as she could before she took them back to the car.
Once back at Du's house they were treated to kill developing fleas and eggs and they were also wormed.
These puppies will be available for adoption overseas when they are old enough. If you are interested in giving them a forever home, please contact us with the name of your nearest international airport.

Golden Retriever Dumped With Us

Our founder, Du Yufeng, heard barking coming from outside her apartment block. She went down to see where the barking was coming from and found this gorgeous Golden Retriever. Someone had tied him to a post and left him!
Stray dog rescue will never keep up with breeding and discarding! The City pound will never empty of stray dogs because it will never keep up with pet breeding and discarding either! Because the government does not advocate mandatory sterilization, the root problem of stray dogs will always exist!
These dogs need your help to be adopted. Please share to groups and rescues in United States, Canada and Europe.
Thank you for your support.

Flooding At Our Shelter

8/9/2018

The heavy rains in Sichuan Province have led to flooding in our city of Guangyuan. Our shelter is the latest victim. Some of the kennels have been flooded, causing panic amongst some of the dogs. Those dogs were quickly moved out of the worst hit kennels and put in to kennels that are dry. A few of the dogs thought it was play time, having fun in the water.
There has been loss of food as it perished in the water and some of the dog beds have been ruined but it could have been a lot worse. Thankfully all the dogs are ok. Most of the water has now been removed from the affected kennels.
The main thing now is to fix the shelter's storm water tower and the broken water pipe leading to the shelter.
Your donations help greatly with emergencies like this. Thank you for your support.

Puppy Abandoned At Supermarket

23/7/2018

Our founder, Du Yufeng, received a call from a lady telling her that someone had taken a small black dog into Yonglong Supermarket and left it there. She told Du that the security guard drove the dog out of the shop and tied him to a fire hydrant outside.
No one came back for the dog from morning till the afternoon. If it wasn’t for the lady who saw the dog tied up, who knows what would have happened to it?
Du took the puppy back to her apartment block where he was vaccinated and given a good meal.
Irresponsible breeders and owners are responsible for the tragic fate of stray dogs.
All dogs want is for someone to give them a home and love them forever. Is it too much to ask?

Starving Husky Mom Rescued

19/6/2018

We had a call from animal lovers in Dashi Town about this poor Husky. According to some of the residents, the Husky had been homeless for a long time and was often badly beaten when she was forced to satisfy her hunger by searching in dustbins for food! They said that some people even threw boiling water at her or hit her with sticks!
Our founder, Du Yufeng, took the Husky back to our shelter. She was as thin as a bone! This is a mother who has given birth! Starving herself but searching for food to feed her puppies! We searched around the area but found no puppies. Our volunteers went out the next day and the next. Maybe the puppies succumbed to the evil people who tried to keep their mother away...
Every day someone throws a dog out like it is rubbish and every day someone calls us to save it. The burden on the shelter is getting heavier. One day we will have to turn them away because adoptions aren't coming in quick enough.
If you really love your pets, please sterilize them. This girl will be sterilized when she is back to normal health. You can help us sterilize more dogs by donating here. If you prefer you could sponsoring our work every month with a small amount here.
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs (or cats), please read our Adoption Policy then contact us.
Thank you for your support.

Students Ring Us About Poodle

16/6/2018

Some Middle School students rang our founder, Du Yufeng, telling her that there was a stray dog with a 'rotten body' hanging around the dining hall of their school.
Du immediately drove to the school and found a Poodle next to the dining hall door. Some of the students told Du that the dog had been wandering for a long time. As he sat scratching his very itchy body, it was clear that he was suffering from a skin disease.
When Du approached him, he ran off- scared. Du followed him for a long time until kind hearted people at the market helped her to catch him.

Du took him home and gave him a meal and drink then shaved off his remaining matted, smelly fur so that his skin could be treated. He slept well after that.
This poor boy has been abandoned through lack of animal welfare education. Your donations help us to take our education events into our community and further afield.
You can see some of our education events here.

Thank you for helping us to help them.

Dog With Distemper Rescued

6/6/2018

This young dog was abandoned at the back of Dongba Telecommunications. When we rescued him, the people around the area said that he had been there for about ten days. He was fed by kind people but the last few days he was not interested in food, he had a fever, his eyes were watery and red and he was dribbling from his mouth. Our founder, Du Yufeng and one of our volunteers, Xiao Zhang, went to rescue the dog and take him to the Pet Hospital for examination. His high temperature and symptoms pointed to Canine Distemper.

One week after the dog was rescued, his high temperature has disappeared and his appetite has returned. At the moment he won't eat anything other than ham sausages but if they can give him a full belly, we can add vitamins to them undetected.

He is being given medicines, antibiotics and painkillers and we are hopeful that he will start to feel better soon.

Poisoned Border Collie With Parvovirus

27/5/2018

We received a call about a Border Collie who was led opposite Hongda Bus Station. We appealed for an animal lover to take the Collie to the pet hospital. Our appeal was answered and our founder, Du Yufeng, met the rescuer there. The Collie had a discharge from his nose and a fever and while at the pet hospital he had a seizure. Swabs from his mouth and nose were taken and he had his blood drawn to test. The Doctor checked the results and the dog showed a positive test for canine parvovirus. The Doctor also thought some of the symptoms the dog was displaying were from poisoning. The Collie was given antibiotics, probiotics, vitamins, fluids and antibodies. He is on the road to recovery.
Your donations help emergency rescues like this one. They help to pay vet bills and buy the medicines needed to continue treatment back at the shelter. Thank you for your continued support.

UPDATE:- Our founder, Du Yufeng, has been busy every night, staying awake until past 3am to nurse the Border Collie who was rescued, suffering from Canine Parvovirus and suspected poisoning. Du took the Collie to the Pet Hospital for albumin and blood transfusions because he was weak and anaemic. She has also been giving him probiotic yogurt to encourage the friendly bacteria in his gut to multiply and because it has been such a long time since he had anything substantial to eat. He is very thin underneath his long coat. His recovery is getting better every day now. Even though he is still weak he is a fighter.
UPDATE:
The Border Collie, rescued and suffering from Canine Parvovirus and suspected poisoning is recovering really well.
Our founder, Du Yufeng, is still tending to him throughout the night but he is now interested in his surroundings and is sitting and standing on his own. He is eating on his own too so no more syringe feeding. Parvo is a painful virus so he is being given painkillers on top of the other medicines and fluids throughout the day and night and he looks forward to his probiotic yogurts every day.
He still has a way to go: his weight needs building up but he is getting better.
Thank you for all your shares and donations to help this little one. They are very much appreciated.

Cat Hit by Car, Told To Euthanaise

23/4/2018

On March 29, we received a call for help about a cat that had been run over by a car. He had been dragging himself around for several days. The cat was skinny as a bone but was still strong enough to call for help when he saw a passer-by! The people who come and go in the neighbourhood turned a blind eye, and let him drag the lower half of his body to look for food everywhere in the community to fill his hunger. No one besides the person who rang us to help even gave him a second glance. Volunteers Yao Yao and Zhang Xuemei rushed to the area to save the cat and take it to Doctor Li's Pet Hospital. Everyone in the room said in unison to euthanaise him. Our founder, Du Yufeng, has brought many car accident dogs to his surgery and once recovered they go on to enjoy happy lives. She really couldn't bear to see the cat, who has suffered so much and so painfully to survive, be put to sleep when she knew there was hope! In spite of the condemnation she received, she asked Doctor Li to save the cat. Dr. Lee cleaned him up and cut away the rotting flesh and hair until only living, pink flesh remained. He gave him anti inflammatories, painkillers and antibiotics and after a day in the surgery he was sent home to Ms Du's house. His wounds were to be healed with the open wound healing method but 2 and a half weeks later they became infected. He was taken back to Doctor Li's surgery to, again, clean out the wounds and this time with some skin regrowth, the wounds could be stitched. The cat was sterilized at the same time. He is recovering at Du's home. Maybe one day he will enjoy the warm sun on his back with a full belly in a home where someone adopts him.

HOW YOUR DONATIONS HELP

18/4/2018

We received a call asking us to help a sick mother dog with 4 puppies near the garbage bin at Qiaozhuang Shangpin Kindergarten in Qingchuan County.
People familiar with the matter said: "When the mother dog was giving birth to the puppies, she went to someone's house and gave birth to a puppy on their doorstep. A vicious man hurt the dog and threw the puppy in to the garbage heap. The mother dog could not stand, she has been screaming and trembling in pain"
The dog urgently needed help. She had given birth to another 5 puppies.  Qingchuan has NO Pet Hospital so our founder, Du Yufeng, gave a shout out to our followers on Chinese social media, asking if someone could bring the dog and puppies to us and we would pay the vet bills. Thanks to 2 concerned animal lovers, who answered our request!: teacher, Wang Xiaoming who tried to look after the dog and her puppies until help arrived and Shun Fengshun who drove the dog and her puppies nearly 100km from Qingchuan County to Guangyuan Pet Hospital!
When they got to our Pet Hospital in Guangyuan, Doctor Li immediately started to check on the mother dog to stop her unbearable pain.
Our volunteer Yao Yao rushed to the Pet Hospital to help take care of the mother dog and reassure her.
The dog had a fever and she was in shock. Doctor Li gave her an IV calcium infusion and painkillers. Her puppies were given bottle feeds while their mother recovers. Doctor Li will continue to check on them.
Please donate to help emergencies like this one. Without your help, dogs like this mother and her babies may not have survived.
Thank you for your support.
UPDATE:
The little dog that was rescued when an evil man hurt her after she gave birth to one of her puppies on his doorstep in Qingchuan County is recovering well. She is at Doctor Li's pet hospital having regular physiotherapy and infusions but happy news; she has started walking again! Her walking is slow but she is getting there, a little better every day. She also has a new name. Qiao Qiao 💖
Sadly, Qiao Qiao only has 3 puppies left, all boys, and they are doing well too.
We will update you again soon but we would like to thank you for donating to help Qiao Qiao and her babies. They may be in hospital for another week, depending how well Qiao Qiao's walking progresses, then they will go to our founder, Du Yufeng's home.

UPDATE:
Qiao Qiao and her puppies are now living at our founder Du Yufeng's home!

She has been doing really well and her walking is almost back to normal. Although only 3 of her puppies survived, they are home with her. Qiao Qiao is a good mother and once she is back to full health they will all be moved to the nursery area of the shelter.
In time, Qiao Qiao and her babies, all sons, will be available for adoption. We would love to see them all find forever homes full of love. If you would be interested, please get in touch.
Thanks to everyone who donated towards the cost of Qiao Qiao's treatment. We are really thankful that there are supporters from around the world who care so much about animals in China.

Dog Miscarried, Rescued

4/4/2018

Our founder Du Yufeng received a call from a student at the middle school telling her that a little pregnant dog that wandered around the campus area looking for food had been hit by a car and had miscarried a foetus near to the school. Du arrived to help the dog and asked the security guard whose dog it was. The guard told her that the dog gives birth every year. He told Du that he had never seen a master come to find her.
One of the students had put the dog near to the door of the conference building outside the school and covered her with a blanket to keep her warm.
Du took the dog to Doctor Li who checked the dog over. The little dog had some contractions while at the hospital and passed the afterbirth and other foetuses. With no more puppies inside her she was discharged although her abdomen was swollen so she has been prescribed a course of antibiotics to clear any infection.
Once home, Du cleaned the dog's back end and shaved off the blood stained fur so that it's easier for Du to clean the blood away and less stressful for the dog who will continue to bleed for a little while and will be monitored closely.
Du has also given her painkillers and attached her to an intravenous drip to get fluids in to her.
It seems there are too many car drivers who aren't looking where they are going, who just drive into dogs and cats and don't care that they are left behind sick, injured or worse!
This little dog will now get better and once her condition is stable she will be spayed.
Your donations help us to help dogs like this one, to buy essential medicines, to pay vet bills and spay and neuter dogs and cats. Even $1, £1, €1 etc helps.
Thank you for your support.

Dog Saved From Slaughter

28/2/2018

This little dog was saved from slaughter when a kind lady heard his screams. The lady, in Chengdu, bought the dog and appealed on Chinese social media for our help to take him to our shelter.
Our volunteer Xiao Xie, and his wife, drove the 3 hour journey from Guangyuan to Chengdu to meet the rescuer and the dog.
Xiao Xie asked "He is so good, how can you kill him?" The dog owner replied "This dog does not bite people, it is too docile to be a guard dog! I threw it away a few times and it came back so we had to kill it!" (The dog's owner had taken him to a hilltop and left him there a few times only for the dog to make his way back home. The owner could not get rid of the dog that way so had decided to kill him and sell the meat for the Chinese New Year celebration!).
Disgusted with the owner's answer, Xiao Xie and his wife put the dog in their car and made the journey back to Guangyuan. It was evening by the time they returned so they took the dog to their house for something to eat and then took him to our shelter the morning after.
The dog probably wonders why his owner did not want him, why he wanted to hurt him. He has not had a great start in life and is such a sweet little boy. It's hard to believe that he could have ended up on someone's plate.
He would make someone a wonderful companion and will be available for adoption soon.

Bank Manager Helps Our Shelter

13/1/2018

Mr Wang, from the bank in Guangyuan, made time out of his busy work schedule to visit our shelter and to meet the animals He also brought 100 pounds of rice, 7 pounds of pork and some treats.
The dogs are always happy to see visitors so they greeted Mr Wang with welcome barks and waggy tails.

Mr Wang says that the problem of stray dogs in China is a social problem. He hopes that all sectors of society can pay attention to and participate in responsible ownership with the sterilization of pets and the welfare aspect; not abandoning the pet when it is ill or simply grown up!
Mr Wang's intention is to spread the word about animal welfare and responsibility. Education is key to change. Thank you Mr Wang for your support!
See some of our education events here.
UPDATE

Yesterday we told you about Mr Wang from the bank in Guangyuan and how he came to our shelter with food for the animals and was spreading the message about responsible pet ownership and animal welfare and protection. He is definitely leading by example! He has now insisted on sending meat and steamed bread to our shelter to feed our furry children every day!

Mr Wang is also going to spend his spare time at the meat market to promote the idea that stray animals are a social problem and that ending the tragic fate of stray dogs is not something that any one person can accomplish. It needs the efforts of all of us. When more people help these stray dogs and listen to educators like Mr Wang, more stray dogs in Guangyuan could have a home.
His propaganda at the meat market inspired everyone and the owners of the stalls donated meat, bones and scraps to our shelter to feed the dogs and cats.

Thank you again Mr Wang and thanks to the stall owners for your donations of food for the animals!
UPDATE

Mr Wang, the manager from the bank in Guangyuan, is becoming a firm friend of Bo Ai shelter. Yesterday he, and a volunteer called Yao Yao, worked from day until night, giving baths, skin treatments and haircuts to our sick and disabled dogs.
The dogs loved having the 2 animal loving visitors give them soothing baths and were on their best behaviour for Mr Wang and Yao Yao.
Our founder, Du Yufeng, has not been well this past week. In the days during the week she has been going to a hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine having accupuncture and infusions of anti inflammatories and analgesics because of a herniated lumbar disc causing sciatic pain.
Mr Wang's and Yao Yao's help has come at just the right time. Thank you to you both for your hard work helping our dogs!

Another Disabled Dog Rescued

9/1/2018

This little dog was rescued by our volunteer Yang after we received a call. Yang brought the dog back to our founder Du Yufeng's apartment block to be treated. His wound was flushed with antiseptic solution and he was given antibiotics and painkillers.
Our shelter is fast becoming a disabled dog club. Most of the disabled dogs, like this one, are small and will make great companions. They won't stand a chance to be adopted in China. It's such a shame that they are being overlooked because people see them as different. They still want a home of their own, someone to love and love them back. Can you help one of our little cuties? Please consider adopting one of our disabled dogs. You are their only chance.
Thank you.

This little Poodle was rescued after we received a call from a concerned animal lover. The Poodle's fur is matted, smelly and sparse and her back legs are bent under her, seemingly unable to hold her weight making it hard for her to walk properly.
She was very thirsty when she was brought back to our founder, Du Yufeng's home. She was given food and a warm bed until it was time to visit the vet for assessment.

Abused Dog, Skin Missing, Rescued

13/12/2017

THIS DOG NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Thanks to our volunteer Yaoyao who came to the help of this poor dog and sent her to our founder, Du Yufeng. The poor fur child's skin has various bleeding and festering wounds all over her body and the skin on her neck has come off! We suspect this wound has been done on purpose. The lines around her neck wound are very straight, like a section of her skin has been cut off! Along with some of the wounds which are also suspicious, this girl has been through a lot of abuse. She is in a lot of pain and is depressed. She will need regular medication and painkillers for a long time. We need your donation, however small, to buy these medications because there are other sick dogs who need the existing medication in our store room. Can you help this dog? Please donate today.
Thank you for helping this little girl.

UPDATE:
Every day her wounds are cleaned and she is given various medicines day and night. Lying down is painful for her, she does not sleep well but she is on the road to recovery. Our founder, Du Yufeng is nursing her day and night.
UPDATE:

Du named this dog Zhengui (meaning precious) because her life was precious. Unfortunately Zhengui just lost the will to live and has sadly died in her sleep. We are devastated because she endured such cruelty and neglect in her short life. Thank you to everyone for your concern and messages of support for Zhengui.

Samoyed, Fur Hanging Off, Rescued

11/12/2017

Our founder, Du Yufeng, and our worker Yang were on their way home when they saw this dog wandering on the street.  The Samoyed is barely recognisable with half of his fur either hanging off or lost, his bald skin cold.
We assume that he has been abandoned because of his skin condition. He is such a friendly boy and he let Yang approach him to tie string around him so that he could take him to Du's car. When Yang put him in the car, he didn't resist, happy that he had some attention and love.
When Du and Yang arrived back at her apartment block, they gave him a light meal. We do not know how long he has wandered the streets, sleeping on the cold pavements and searching for scraps but now he is warm, will receive the correct veterinary treatment and food!
It is very upsetting and frustrating to see a dog in this condition. Samoyeds are a popular breed in China and his previous owners would have paid a lot of money for him. Why not pay money to treat his skin condition? More education is needed regarding the aftercare of pet ownership and with your help we can take our education events to more people.
You can find out more here.
Samoyeds are also found regularly on trucks, full of dogs, headed for slaughter. It could have been a different story for this poor boy if we hadn't rescued him...
We welcome your donation, however small, to help dogs like this one recover. You can donate here.
Thank you for your support.

Puppy With Bite Wounds

13/11/2017

Our founder, Du Yufeng, received a call to help a tiny puppy. It was thought that the puppy had been a car accident victim. Du arrived at the scene with one of our workers, Xiao Yang, and took the puppy back to her house where she checked him over properly. The puppy had lots of holes on his body along with dander and fleas. Du gave him painkilling and anti-inflammatory injections then decided that in order to clean the wounds properly, she would need to shave his fur. The holes looked like bite wounds so she also gave him antibiotics. Du wrapped him up in a warm coat, gave him a good meal and soon he was ready to sleep. Xiao Yang stayed up to help take care of him and reassure him throughout the night. He is now recovering from his ordeal. Whether he was born stray or dumped, this little boy has had lots of pain and fear in his short life!
We can not continue to rescue and treat dogs like this one without your donations. Thank you for your support.
UPDATE:
Unfortunately, this little puppy's body could not carry on the fight for life. He has sadly passed away. So young, with a whole life ahead of him; ruined by the actions of those who left him to fend for himself on the streets!.

Graphic: Dog In Car Accident

5/11/2017

This Chinese Rural Dog was involved in a car accident. Caring Bo Ai supporter, Li Ping, called our founder, Du Yufeng, to help her with the rescue.
Once at Du's, Li Ping hugged the dog while she and Du gritted their teeth and Du cleaned the wound. All the way through the treatment, the dog, although in obvious pain, never once turned to bite Du or Li.
After cleaning the wound, Du applied hydrogel dressing and sterilize gauze. She then gave him injections; Ceftriaxone (antibiotic), Tramadol Hydrochloride (pain relief) andVitamin C (to help skin regeneration).
Because of the nature of his wound, Du is following the Secondary Intention Healing method. You can read more about this method here.
To help with emergency rescues like this one we welcome your donation.
UPDATE:
The skin on the outside of the wound is healing and new skin can clearly be seen.
Our founder, Du Yufeng, continues to apply hydrogel and give the dog pain relief. It will be a long time before the leg is totally healed but we are pleased with her progress.
