Help Lucy to Walk Again

Lucy, an Alaskan Malamute approximately one year old was found in a field surrounded by rubble and rubbish. Our founder Du Yufeng and some friends went to rescue her and it became apparent that Lucy (named in memory one of our volunteer's dogs) could not walk. Du took her to Doctor Li's pet hospital.
Doctor Li examined Lucy and her coat was full of ticks. Her blood result showed she has severe anemia which must be treated before surgery so she was immediately given treatments to help with the ticks along with a wormer. Doctor Li examined her back end and determined there was a fracture so x-rays were taken.
It isn't good.
She is going to need surgery to be able to walk again but Doctor Li doesn't have the facility for such a big operation so we have to take her to Doctor Zhong in Chengdu but as you can imagine the cost is going to be a lot for the size of dog that Lucy is.
Doctor Zhong has quoted us US$1500 for the surgery if everything goes well but we still need to pay for her hospitalization and treatment, including the x-rays at Doctor Li's.
In total we are looking at around US$2000 and we don't have that kind of money. So once again, we are asking if you can help to make a dog walk again.
Lucy is in a lot of discomfort and while she is receiving pain medication, the only pain free option is for surgery.
We know it's a hard time for everyone right now but even the cost of a cup of coffee from each of our supporters will help Lucy.
You helped Little Brave to walk. Can you help Lucy too?
Thank you for your continued support. We couldn't rescue without it.

UPDATE
Lucy's anemia is still lingering so she will be monitored over the next couple of days, in the hospital, and treated with medication.
Lucy's pelvis is broken. She may look ok but she's in a lot of pain. Pain that can't be taken away fully with medication. She really needs surgery to help her walk again and find happiness. She's still only a baby.
Doctor Du has agreed to admit Lucy because our founder Du Yufeng told him that foreign friends are helping to raise the money for her surgery but we still have a LONG way to go until we reach that point.
Please donate if you can. Share if you can't. It's going to be a long process for Lucy but we're hoping that very soon we'll reach the target and her pain can start to be mended
UPDATE:
Lucy
is undergoing surgery soon. She has been prepped and given her sedative.
We are a fifth of the way to reaching our fundraiser goal but we still have a long way to go.
Doctor Du told our founder Du that Lucy needed this surgery as soon as possible and not to be waiting until we reach the goal and while we all definitely did agree with that, Doctor Du still needs to be paid.
Can you help?
There are so many animal shelters needing help right now and we know there are other financial worries for people but we are hoping that you can donate the cost of a newspaper or coffee
If all of our supporters across our social media platforms could do that we would be able to pay Doctor Du in no time AND have money left over to help others who are waiting for treatment. Thank you for your support.
UPDATE:
Lucy had her surgery and she is recovering well.
You can see in the video the comparison of xrays where Doctor Du mended her pelvis with a steel plate and screws.
Lucy's pain is now 'good pain', pain that will be relatively shortlived. Soon, she will be able to move, walk, even go to the toilet without experiencing excruciating pain.
It's thanks to the farmer who called us to rescue Lucy but it's thanks to YOU that Doctor Du relied on you to reach the fundraiser goal. BUT... we have not reached that goal yet...
PLEASE, if you haven't already, click on Lucy's fundraiser and donate even £1, $1, €1.
EVERY donation counts for Lucy's surgery, hospitalisation and aftercare.
Thank you... From Lucy
